What you shouldn’t forget in your suitcase
Adaptor: If your plugs aren’t the same that in Mexico, don’t forget it or you will be annoyed to go to get a new one at the store.
Flash drive: to save all your memories (photos, videos…), and there will be a lot.
Clothes for hot weather, but also if you are coming during the rainy season (from May to October), you should bring with you a rain jacket.
Bathing suits: A sure thing is that you will be going to the beach many times so bring at least two.
Flip-flops: Pack your favourite pair of flip-flops for the beach, of course.
Sneaker: A comfortable pair of sneakers will be very useful to walk by the city and visit every places of Mexico.
Backpack: very useful to go to school, but also for when you will be visiting and walking a lot in Mayan ruins.
Solar protection: after-sun lotion, lip balm, and face sunscreen are very important. You skin will be exposed more than once to the sun of Mexico and it can be absolutely brutal. If you don’t want to look like an oversized tomato you should bring it.
Waterproof phone case: You should make sure you have a waterproof case to protect your phone. It can be useful at the beach, in the cenotes and on any day excursions.
Mosquito repelling: Mosquito-borne illnesses are still a problem in Mexico. You’ll want to protect yourself against bites.
Basic medicine: ask your doctor or a vaccination centre a list of basic medicineadapted to Mexico before leaving your country. You might be sick, and medicine are not the same in every country. Maybe you will want to have medicine that you are used to take.
Carry your driver licence. If you are going on a trip, you will probably rent a car to go to Baja California Sur or Yucatan.
But don’t be worry, if you forget something, you will be able to buy it there 🙂
